A hippogryph is a magical creature with the body of a horse and the head, wings, and talons of an eagle. Hamish looks accurate in terms of his head, wings, and "talons". The only thing that resembles a horse are the horseshoes that Hamish is wearing. Although, this is a bit confusing... Why does Hamish need horseshoes, and who puts them on him?
Whether or not Hamish is truly a hippogryph is debatable, but he is definitely adorable!
